And I'm Off!

Hello there gals and pals! The time has finally arrived for me to jet off to warmed plains. We are leaving for the airport in a half hour...yup it's 2am and I'm blogging. All for you my friends, all for you! That being said...I will not be blogging while I`m away. I may stop in once or twice but I can`t make any promises because I have NO idea what my computer situation will be.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and I will see you all again next year (by January 6th). Don`t give up on me okay!? Okay thanks.

I'll miss you my nuggets!

Obsessing over: Anthropologie. Oh my good lord, it has to be the most beautiful store of all the stores in the land! I got to go in one yesterday in Toronto and spent so long just staring at all of their housewares. I got the beautiful mug above there. I wish my entire kitchen was made up of Anthropologie glassware. Anyone have a about $500.00 they want to donate?

Working on: packing. So far the process has only taken place in my head (bad girl) but I'm dreading it. It's so hard to choose what to pack. I always overpack, forget something and end up wishing I'd brought something I decided wasn't necessary. I have serious anxiety about being away and hating all of my clothes. So unimportant but clothes are how we start our day and I like to start my day off loving my outfit.

Thinking about:  John Green. Oh man I've heard such great things about his books. I bought "Looking for Alaska" yesterday and already have "The Fault in Our Stars" for vacation. I know I'll probably motor through them while lying in the sun. I just can't wait to crack the first one open. Book nerd extrordinaire over her.

Feeling: mucho sleepy-o. Today is my last day of work before vacation and it was almost impossible to get my butt out of bed. I just want to SLEEP and be with my friends before I leave. Torture!

Wanting: for my recent motivation to continue. I've been such a gym rat this week. Satruday I did intervals first thing after I woke up. Monday at 11PM Erika, her sister and I went to the gym and hiked up our interval workout. It was SO hard but it felt AMAZE. Yesterday we shopped ALL DAY and I literally walked around for 5 hours straight. Oooo cardio. If that wasn't enough after we got home Erika and I went to the body pump class. We are dedicated little bitties. Hope this keeps up during vacation! Does anyone else find that they always bring workout clothes on vacation and then never use them. Me too. Goal is to not do that this time and actually kill it fitness wise! Cross your fingers

Wishing for: the world NOT to end on Friday. I need this vacation so let's just skirt this little Mayan calendar issue under the rug and continue on with humanity, okay? Awesome.
Happy Wednesday!

Weekend Update

I wish I could tell you that I've been an incredibly interesting person lately...but I havent. Woops.

Friday was mine and Jordan's 3 year anniversay (woah...that went quick). We went out for a nice dinner in our fancy clothes and then came home to snuggle on the couch and watch some movies. Perfecto. It was especially nice because I handed it a take-home that morning so I was feeling a bit less stressed. I also got a haircut on Friday. I was SICK of my deadzo ends so I got them lopped off. A good couple of inches came off. I'm missing it a bit already but my hair feels so healthy so I can't realllyyy complain.

Saturday Iwoke up and got my butt on the treadmill. I had to work Friday night's dinner off and me and my sister were planning on going bathing suit shopping so it felt very necessary. After my workout I went shopping with my sister. I got a new pair of jeans, finished up my Christmas shopping and  got two new pairs of bathing suit bottoms. It's good to know I'm done all my money spending for now. In the evening Jordan and I made some dinner and sat down to watch Seeking a Friend at the End of the World while I made place cards for my mom. Aren't the pretty!? The movie was so good! We laughed so hard and I cried at the end. Jordan even said he almost shed a tear. It was probably one of the most beautiful endings I've ever seen. I'ts a bit of an odd movie but so so good.

Yesterday me, Jordan, my sister and her husband went to visit my grandma on my dad's side. We wont see her again before we leave for our cruise (this friday!!) so we exchanged gifts. It was wonderful. Afterwards we went to my house because my mom was holding the Christmas dinner for her side of the family. I've never been SO full in my entire life! NEVER. We got all of our gifts from my grandparents and aunt and I got a very pretty dress from my mom and David for the cruise. Very excited.

Today is going to be a longggg day. I'm working until 3:30, after which I have to go immediately to the library to write a ten page paper. The outline is all done so now I just have to type it up but it's going to take forever and I just plain don't wanna do it! It's my very last thing I need to finish exams though so of course I'll push through. It's nice to think that by about 10pm tonight I will be free. HOORAY!

Alright kids. Back to work.

Secret of the Week

I love the way this person writes. They're talking about their break-up just as it is, a simple heartbreak, no more complicated than that. It's like there's still so much hurt there but also acceptance. I like it.

Life Lately

1. My She & Him record finally came in! WOOO. I've been bopping around my apartment non-stop to their songs. So glad I invested in a Christmas record to help me join in on the spirit.

2. Exam life. End already please!

3. Coffee is the only thing keeping me sane these days!

Obsessing over: vacation. vacation. vacation. All I want to do is get my butt on that giant cruise ship, work on my tan and spend the days lounging around and reading good books. Heaven!

Working on: My take-home exam. BOO! This little baby is due Friday and by the end of it will feature 9 pages of my best bullshitting. Isn't that what all school work is about? Then I have a 10 page paper due Tuesday. Guys. So much work left. Why!?

Thinking about:  how much of a bad idea it is so buy a book before you can read it. I bought "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green this weekend for the cruise and it's been SO hard not to crack it open. Has anyone read this book? I've heard such great things. Can't wait.

Feeling: so very cozy. I'm lounging around in my tights and a nice knitted sweater, sitting on the couch in front of a beautiful fire. If I'm gonna have to do school work, this is where I'd like to do it.

Listening to: True Blood. Ahhh how I love this show. Sooki Stackhouse is amaze and HBO really knows how to make a good show. Season one reminds me so much of first year of university when I was at Carleton and my friends recommended it to me. I would stay up until 4am every night watching episode after episode and then screaming about it all the next day to them. Definitely one of my favourite shows!

Wishing for: a little more snow before I jet off to warmer plains. It snowed yesterday and it's stuck a bit but  I want it whiter! It got me really in the spirit. I even put some carols on the radio. OHHHH XMAS.

Happy Wednesday!

Festive Days

Yet another weekend has passed and we are stuck in yet another Monday. Poo poo.

This weekend was spent shopping, playing, but mostly studying. Friday night I spent the ENTIRE night studying. Of course I was watching Sex & the City while doing so but I did get a lot of my take home exam done. It was actually kind of nice to just sit around, work and hang out in my pajamas. Next time let's try it WITHOUT the exam!

Saturday I woke up early to go and workout with Erika. Man oh man, it was hard but then I was invigorated and ready to get back to my exam. I spent the afternoon working on the essay section and got it done! Woot woot. That night Erika, Shauna and I did our gift exchange. We always team up to get eachother gift. Erika and I got Shauna a gorgeous bag, an infinity scarf and a ring from Aldo. Shauna and I got Erika a bust form...as you can see above, I had a fun time wrapping it, and a Ralph Lauren throw. They got me the beautiful outfit from PINK that you see above and hair chalk. I plan on wearing this outfit from now until the end of exams. Deal with it.

Yesterday I went to church with my mom and stepdad and then we all met the family for brunch. After that I went shopping with my sister. Only two gifts left to get and they're gift cards. Yay! I hung out with Jordan for the evening and tried to start studying for my exam (which is tomorrow) but could not bring myself to (lazy me!).

Today I am working until 3:30 (boo) and then must go home to promtly hit the books for my exam tomorrow (double boo). After tomorrow I have a take-home due Friday, an essay due the 18th and then I can FINALLY relax before we leave for our cruise on the 21st!!! MAN...only 10 days away!

Happy Monday y'all.

Secret(s) of the Week

I'm convinced that the people who sent these in used to be a couple and that makes them perfect for eachother but also completely...not.

Life is strange.

*am I a foodie yet?*

Obsessing over: the Vistoria's Secret Fashion show. I've basically spent all morning looking at pictures from the show. Oh man those are some beautiful women and it's so fun to watch them walk and check out their outfits. Such a fun show! Unfortunately I missed 40 minutes of it because I FORGOT so I am playing catch up today.

Working on: finding my motivation. Yesterday was a day of lazing around and enjoying my last moments of freedom before crunch time. We are now in crunch time. I have a take home exam due Sunday, an exam on Tuesday, another take home due Friday and an essay due the following Tuesday. Luckily they are a bit spread out so I can focus on one at a time but I do need to get my butt in gear, as usual.

Thinking about:  vacation. Boy oh, boy it's only 16 days away. That's what gets me through this time of stressing over school and buying xmas gifts. I cannot wait to be on a big old cruise ship soaking up the sun. December 21st, you can't come soon enough (unless you are the end of the world. In that case...AH!)

Feeling: so much motivation lately (fitness wise...not school wise, of course!) I don't know if it's my impending vacation or procrastination or just the amazing feeling I get when I know I've worked out but I've been killing it lately. Interval run on Saturday, 6am weights class on Monday and illeptical and inverval run last night. Killer. Today I think I'll take the day off and then get back to it for Body Attack tomorrow (aka the hardest class ever).

Wishing for: my She & Him Christmas record to just get here already! I ordered it last month and it's taking forever. I WANT IT! (Preferably before Christmas thankyouverymuch!)

Happy Wednesday!

Weekend Update

1. Chocolate covered oreos inspired by xmas
2. A Saturday morning workout featuring Whip It
3. A fun night listening to some funny men

Life has been a whirl wind lately. I've been trying to balance school, fun, working out and lazing around. Friday was spent finishing papers all day so a night spent on the couch with Jordan was very welcomed.

Saturday morning I woke up with the need to workout. I have NO idea where it came from but I got my butt out of bed at 9:45 and moved directly to the tread mill. There's something wonderful about getting the hard stuff done right away. Luckily Whip It was there to distract me. I then went to lunch at my Dad's house with my sister and her husband. Dee-lish. That evening Jordan and I went to see Gerry Dee's comedy show in Brantford. We got the tickets for free from my moms friend. We had amazing seats and laughed a-lot. Such a good night. After that we went to my friend Robin's house and sat around talking, playing cards and drinking until 3am. Exhausting but funnnnn.

Yesterday was spent working on my paper. Such a bummer but we got to go out for steak dinner since it was my sister's birthday so that made it mucho better. After my paper was finally done at 10pm I sat around knitting and watched "Don't You Forget About Me," the documentary about John Hughes. Now feeling a sudden urge to watch "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Stupid me didn't go to bed until 1:30 and then I woke up at 5:30 this morning to go to the gym with Erika. Needless to say...I'm VERY tired today. The second I get home it is nap time!

Happy Monday kiddos
